The MacLeod Pavilion

St Michael's now enjoy the benefit of an up-to-date Pavilion overlooking the main pitch at Kingholm Park, Dumfries.

The MacLeod Pavilion was borne of a collaboration with Dumfries YMCA that resulted in a successful Lottery Fund application to Sport Scotland and various other funding sources.

It was named after a long-term benefactor of the YMCA and when not serving as a cricket pavilion, it is also home to Dumfries YMCA, Dumfries Ladies and Dumfries Girls Football Clubs.

After a long wait, the Macleod Pavilion was finally passed fit for use in April 2006, just in time for the 2006 cricket season. The official opening took place on Sunday 9th July.

However, the Pavilion is also a community facility. Both pitches and changing facilities can be booked at agreed rates by other clubs. There is a well-proportioned main room with adjoining kitchen , which as well as providing an excellent view of the cricket in summer, can be hired by local groups for meetings and other activities.

For more information about using the Pavilion, please contact the MacLeod Pavilion Committee Treasurer, David MacFarlane (tel: 01387 870342).
