St Michael's Cricket Club
In 2010 DMPS St Michael’s First XI won the Western District Cricket Union (WDCU) Division 2 and played in the WDCU Premiership last season, narrowly missing promotion to the Scottish National Cricket League. Our Second XI, John Pagan & Son Kingholm played in the WDCU Championship, finishing in the top half of the final table. We also have a T20 side playing in the John Henderson & Son Midweek League, and a Sunday XI which next season will play in the WCDU Sunday League as well as offering a programme of friendly fixtures with other local clubs. During the season senior practices are on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6.00 pm at Kingholm Park. All new players are welcome and can compete for the chance to play 100 over cricket for our main League teams, DMPS St. Michael’s and Kingholm or in the less demanding 80 over sunday fixtures. The Club is very proud to have achieved both
Dumfries & Galloway Sports Club and Cricket
Scotland TOPClub (Bronze Award) accreditation. The We believe strongly in the importance of promoting youth cricket - our Under 13, Under 11_and Girls' sides that make up our Academy and Development sections. Currently St Michael's Cricket Club subscriptions for adult players are set at £60 a year (concessions available for students, juniors, unemployed and non-playing members). For full details see our subscription page. At the start of the 2011 season, Saints installed a new cricket square at Kingholm Park with the expert help of Simpson & Partners. The club would like to thank Dumfries and Galloway Council for their support in making this happen.
