Who we areBased at Kingholm Park, Dumfries, St Michael's Cricket Club is a small, dedicated club with two teams competing in the Scottish Western Union Divisions II and IV. We play hard to win but believe in enjoying the game and try not to take ourselves too seriously. For a club with modest means playing on its local Council ground, St Michael's have a healthy history of overachievement and even the better Scottish teams used to be wary of a trip to Fortress Kingholm! Although the 'big' names have now largely gone, there has been a new enthusiasm about the club in recent months and a strong committee keen to see the club succeed on all fronts. We are always on the lookout for people who want to support the club, particularly talented cricketers of any age or background who can help us achieve our aim.
Currently St Michael's Cricket Club subscriptions for adult players are set at £50 a year (concessions available for students, juniors, unemployed and non-playing members). For full details see our subscription page, or come along to our winter nets in March. Find out more about our recent and not so recent past in our Archive section. You can also enjoy our Extras Pages and contribute to our interactive wiki once you have emailed us to register. 27/12/08
